Funeral Notices

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Chung Yim Tang on 9th of July at the age of 91. Chung Yim passed away peacefully in the Royal Free hospital, Hampstead, surrounded by his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chung Yim was born in Guangdong, China and spent a few years in Hong Kong and British Guiana (now Guyana) before permanently settling in the UK. He had a long career in hospitality working in various Chinese restaurants in England. He married his wife, Chui Kwan, in 1974, and together they raised two children, Angela and Philip.

Chung Yim will be remembered as a kind gentleman with a good sense of humour. He will be greatly missed as a helpful and hardworking member of the community.

Chung Yim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Chui Kwan; his children, Angela and Philip and his grandchildren, Athena and Alexander.

The service to celebrate Chung Yim Tang's life will be held at 11am on Friday 1st of August at Golders Green Crematorium. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects.

After the funeral service, we will gather to share memories and celebrate the life of Chung Yim at The Flask, 14 Flask Walk, London NW3 1HE at 12.30pm.

Memorial donations may be made in Chung Yim’s name to Dementia UK, a charity that supported the Tang family through the last 2 years.
