Lovely words sent by Mick O'Sullivan. Just a few words, I was very privileged to have Gavin and Julie in my life. when we all had so many good times together it's hard to pinpoint one. Also I remember Gav being very dry. He just suddenly pipe up with two ways three of the most take a while to sink in it made me smile many time thinking of you all it's left behind, especially the young daughter are not forgetting you Julie. I hope you have many conversation about Gavin and the good times and not forgetting the sad times please remember you have a beautiful family around you. You are so blessed. It may not feel that at this time.. don't hesitate talking to your family on how you feel. again all I can say is big hugs to you rest of the family at this sad time. my dad's there I'm sure he'll look after Gavin . bless you all.🥃🥃❤️🙏xxx

To my bro Gav, words can't explain how I feel about the loss of a true great brother in law, we had so many laughs and good times together throughout the many years. We used to love sharing a pint together and I remember the day you approached me about setting up a date with our Ju teenage sweethearts to a great marriage. The times we used to chew the fat in your garage a real grease monkey and that was your passion. I used to think you were bonkers going out on your bike although you loved everything with an engine that was your thing. You were a loving devoted husband and dad and will be truly missed see you on the other side bro. God Bless Dave

Gav where do I start? Got to be the summerhouse back in the days where we spent more time there than at home and where we first became friends several months later my little sis used to join us and the rest is history. You were such a happy carefree couple that developed into a meaningful committed marriage. The unity you showed paid off when you were blessed with our beautiful Freya. Back inthe day you spent more time on two wheels than four but along came the van that you worked tirelessly on and that became much more than a campervan it was a place that the three of you made so many memories and had so much fun.. We had so many good times and holidays together although I don't think you will ever forgive me for dragging you to the beach in Majorca and the only poisonous insect on the beach managed to find your foot it was Dr Dave for the rest of the holiday.. Thank you for all the time, kindness and generosity you gave us as a family especially Jack and Anna you will forever have a special place in all our hearts, this is not goodbye it's see you on the other side x rest easy x

Gav, since we met on the neonatal ward you have always been such a huge part of our lives... from family adventures, countless trips to see the big man, looking after your little mate so Freya and I can have a pamper to even witnessing the occasional strops...Your quick witted humour always quickly sorted those and Freya certainly has inherited that and your memory will always live on in her. The words will never do justice to the loss, the boys will all miss you dearly as will the both of us. Rest easy Lau and Jase xx

Always a decent and honest guy, both at work and socially. We enjoyed many happy ride-outs on our motorcycles. Loved his family dearly and always put them first. Taken away from us too soon. He will be missed. See you on the other side mate. Salv

My old mate Gav, had the pleasure of calling you a good friend for over 30 years, from when we were school age at Sandwell cycle speedway club, through to working with you at Westfield sports cars. Had some good laughs over the years, with your dry sense of humor the source of most of the laughter. I'll miss your random messages and sarcastic comments on my FB posts! You have a wonderful family to keep your memories alive, rest easy old pal. Steve Lane.

I was so shocked and sad to hear that Gav had passed away. I worked with him for many years and we became good friends.. He was always funny and very witty and we had some great laughs. I find comfort in the fact we kept in touch after his illness forced him to leave his job. I remember one time my car broke down and he was quick to offer to help. Gav came round to my house with a friend and towed my car away and true to his word fixed it. RIP Gav and thanks for the memories, you will be the brightest star in the sky✨ Jude xx

To my old spud, from the moment I was young you took me and my little sis under your wing, the most polite, respectful and giving man I ever knew. You was funny, hardworking and a role model in my life. I was so scared of fireworks. So what did you do you do. You said 'come on spud' you took me down your street to make sure I saw all the fireworks! From then we grew together (forgetting the brum series that drove you and Jue insane). But we grew to the point in life where we went from uncle and nephew to man and mate which I never took for granted you were more interested in my future. That alone optimises you as a man, as an uncle, as a farther, as a husband. So me old spud hope your having a world of a time up there. God bless you spud, you will always be in my heart. Rest easy spud. Love you always, your little spud ❤️

To Uncle Gav, the photo I have added I hope you had a word with my mom and dad about that awful haircut I had!😂 But seriously, we all miss you gav and always will. I'll never forget our last conversation with Freya in the back garden when she was talking about her future with her artistic mind x I still have not fully processed it and don't think I ever fully will. You are always in my heart. I will always be there for auntie Julie who I love dearly and Freya (by the way who is so incredible and I know you are so proud of them both) Love you always, Anna xx

Gav, what can I say? A great friend since we were 5 years of age from kids in school to likely lads as teenagers. From living in The Summerhouse to going to car shows where you knew what every nut and bolt did to me not even knowing where the petrol went. Those were the days that I look back on with so much fondness. Rest easy old pal.

I remember when I first met Gav. He stopped me to take some scrap metal from him. Straight away we got talking and I made a friend. Not easy this day in age. His funny sense of humour/welcoming was really nice. also the time he had to talk. Some days we talked for around 2 hours. Made me laugh. I'm sure I made Gav laugh too. Miss our talks. And seeing you in your van waving/beeping as we drove past each other. Top man who loved his family very much. You was Taken too soon mate rip gav👍

Our dear son in law Gav, our thoughts and memories of you are long and many. Remembering when you had long pony tailed hair that you used to let down to dance to Cotton Eye Joe when we were all on holiday. Your dry, quick witted sense of humour. All the happy times we spent together. Your help whenever needed. The love that you, Jul and Freya shared and support you gave each other. Such a very sad loss especially for our Jul and Freya, devoted wife and daughter. Also to Sue and Ken and our close family you will be loved and missed by us all.

I can only speak of my personal connection with Gavin, as we live many miles apart. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of his passing, poor young Freya now into her teens without a dad, to share triumphs and heartaches with. In my eyes Gav' was a true family man with family values and didn't allow his disabilities to get in the way, so as a family they had some wonderful times together. Gav was a true gent and always eager to help anybody with anything that needed sorting, a good organiser, and in my eyes, the glue that held West Midlands TVP together and also organised many gatherings with other TVP groups, I can never come up with appropriate words in these circumstances, I'll just say, the world is a much less nice place to be without him in it. Rest in perfect peace my wonderful friend, and god bless Julie and Freya. Cwtch n much love mate.🫂❤️

Gavin, you will be truly missed by so many of us. Losing you has left a hole in our hearts that words can't fill, and it still feels unreal that you were taken so soon. You meant so much to so many, and your kindness, laughter, and spirit will never be forgotten. I take comfort in knowing that you are now at peace in heaven with Shaun, and it brings some solace to believe that you boys are together again. All our love, Amanda and family

My wonderful husband, you were my one and only love. We met when we were teenagers and never looked back. 31 years of amazing memories and also getting through some really difficult times together. We always had each others backs and looked after each other. You live on in our beautiful daughter and I'm so thankful that we have her. You would be so proud of the way she is dealing with things and looking after me.. You have been taken from us far to early. We had so many things to look to look forward to. You will never be forgotten. My heart breaks that you are no longer here but you send me signs to let me know that you still looking after me. Will love you forever Jue xx
