I first met Georgina when she was working as a student nursery practitioner at New View nursery. One afternoon she had the pleasure of being my Jacks one to one. When I came to pick him up she handed me a massive bag of sticks that her and Jack had collected. He was so proud of himself. Years later I was attending a New Views nursery stay and play session with my second son Thomas. Georgina was there with her son Jake and Georgina recognised me and told me she remembers me from looking after Jack and asked how he was. We laughed about the day she kept him occupied by assisting him in one of his favourite obsession, collecting sticks. I told her how I still probably had the sticks in our massive stick pile in the garden with all the other sticks that Jack had collected over the years. Little did I know that her son Jake, and my sons Thomas would after their time at New View nursery would then go on and spend the next 7 years being good friends in the same class at the same school and will probably end up also going to the same secondary school. This week our children went on their school residential. I am certain that Georgina although not there physically to see the boys off was shining down on them, keeping an eye on them. Thank you Georgina for your love and care of Jack when he was in your care, having autism he was not an easy pre school child to be in charge off, your kindness and warmth and for the her lovely son Jake, she raised that remains a good friend to our Thomas. God bless, all my love katie x
