Obituary For Gordon Anderson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Anderson on 3 June, at the age of 51. Gordon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In keeping with Gordon’s wishes, a private, unattended cremation service will take place on the morning of 17 June. At that time, we would love family and friends to join us wherever they may be, by taking a moment to pause, reflect on Gordon’s life and perhaps light a candle in his memory.

We ask you kindly to not send flowers. Your thoughts and kind wishes are greatly appreciated. Instead, we would be so grateful if you could share your favourite memories, stories and photographs of Gordon with us, so that we can treasure and preserve these precious moments forever. Memories are the flowers that never fade and the stories we tell will keep him close to our hearts.

I will always remember Andi for his incredible warmth, kindness, and humour. He drove us to so many day's and nights out and always came back and collected us. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. We even named him Andi's taxis. Lesley you and Andi had such a special and strong bond and I know all the memories, love, laughter and the tears will live on in your heart and mind always. Although I only met Gordon once, on a day trip I'll never forget, it was enough to see what an incredible man he was, always caring and putting others first. As for his humour, I laughed so much my cheeks and belly hurt. His cheeky banter with Lesley was unforgettable, it was clear for everyone to see just how much he adored her. The love that Gordon and Lesley share is truly something special. And I say is (not was) because their love remains in memories, stories, laughter and all the moments that made their life together so beautiful. They had been through so much together, but it only made their bond stronger. Gordon will be missed beyond words. The world has lost a wonderful human being, but I have no doubt there's a star shining especially bright above us now. Thinking of you, Lesley and sending you so much love. Always believe. 🙏🏻🫶🏻 J x x x

Thank you for always welcoming me with open arms, always offering your help and being there whenever we needed you. You could always brighten a situation with a joke or lift the weight of a burden with a hug. I wish I had told you more, but you were so so loved and I am forever grateful Lennox, Reo, me and Col had someone who loved them so much 🤍 I hope you find peace up there, until we meet again Andi 🤍 love you x

To my Papa, Thank you for loving me so much from the very beginning. I may be little, but I will grow up hearing all about how proud you were of me, how much you adored me, and how happy I made you. I know I was such a huge part of your life, just as you will always be a huge part of mine. I wish we had more time together, but I promise I will never forget you. You will always be my Papa, and I will carry your love with me forever. Love you to the moon and back, Lennox ❤️

Lesley and family, we are so sorry for your loss. We never knew Andi personally but what we were told through Lesley, he sounded like a gentleman. Almost daily at work, Lesley would tell us how Andi managed to get her out to the bingo the night before, after Lesley told us she wasn't going! We are sending you love at this difficult time. Love, from Babs and Rachel at Langdons xx
