Obituary For Rosemarie (Rosie) Hart

Let’s celebrate the life of Rosie Hart who died on 10th of May just 3 weeks before her 90th birthday. Of course, she will be so very deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. However, here’s hoping that cheery memories of her will comfort us in our saddest moments.

The service to celebrate Rosie’s life will be held at 11am on Thursday 5th of June at Oxford Crematorium, Bayswater Road, Headington. That day would have been Rosie’s 90th birthday. Family and friends are warmly invited to come along and join us in celebrating the good times and sharing the love and respect we felt for our remarkable Rosie. She really was a colourful soul so feel free to wear whatever elegant or smart outfit you like. After the service, please join us for further celebration at OSJCT, Shotover View, Craufurd Road, Oxford OX4 2SQ . There are buses to both locations and ample parking at the Crematorium. On-street parking is available by Shotover View. The nearby Aldi also has free parking for 3 hours.

Please don’t worry about buying flowers, teddy bears or nick-nacks. If you want to make a donation in Rosie’s name, give generously to the wonderful community café at Shotover View either online or in person on the day. If you make an online donation please mention that you are donating to celebrate Rosie’s life. You can donate via their Givey page Waste2Taste CIC - Online Social Fundraising Donation Platform | Givey. Rosie absolutely loved the café and for the café workers the feeling was mutual. They were going to be catering for her birthday party, but now will be catering for Rosie’s Celebration of Life. They promise to give her a great send off and of course we will take the opportunity to raise a glass for her birthday.

Can you let us know if you are coming, especially to the wake as we need to know numbers so there is enough food and drink for everybody. As many of you will know, Super Cook Rosie would never have let anyone leave hungry or thirsty. So we really want to avoid that at all costs.
