Val, your amazing warmth of personality shone through from day 1 when I met you. We all went through some difficult times over the years and I can only thank you for your support in mine. Dad loved you with all his heart and your love and care for him can never be underestimated. Your children have all grown into magnificent human beings and I would expect nothing less given your lead in younger life. Sorry we didn't get to see you in your final few months and that is something I regret. Love eternally Paul Burton-Pye (Jo, Rosie and Fran) xxxx

Val was my stepmom. As I got older we became much closer. She helped dad through his cancer and was with him to the end. For that I am so grateful. We are so sorry that she will not get to meet Mike in August. Rest in Peace Val x
